This landscape was another experiment for me. I was curious to try painting a foreground that mostly consists of shrubs and grass, and to make it feel natural and convincing.

I’m not sure how well I managed to achieve that, but overall I’m more than satisfied with the result. The subject of this painting is a stunning ocean landscape near the town of Getxo in northern Spain.
