I painted this etude from a reference photo that I took on a beach in Alicante almost a week ago. The composition didn’t turn out particularly strong, but it gave me a chance to practice working with color and small details.

I can’t say that this is my best study, but that’s exactly what studies are for — to experiment, learn, and keep improving.
