This study was painted very quickly, using a random reference photo from my phone gallery. The goal was to capture the atmosphere of the late twilight over the coastline.
The composition is as simple as it gets — the horizon, the sky, the sea, and the beach in a straightforward perspective. But I feel that the colors are what created the sense of depth and the atmosphere I was hoping to convey.
