«Las Botellas y La Jarra» 2022 by Oleksii Zhukov is a still life painting done in the artist's signature style. The painting depicts three different bottles, a pitcher, and an apple, with all objects purposely distorted - elongated and slightly askew. The use of vivid colors is predominant, with bright shades of blue, pink, and orange used to create a rich spectrum of colors. The background is light and almost transparent, created using a technique called scumbling.
For contrast, there are a few dark green fragments, and the silhouettes of objects are outlined in black to create a striking contrast. The bright colors blend smoothly into each other, merge with areas where the paper is white, or have sharp edges in some places.
