I painted this landscape using a reference photo I took during a recent trip to Dénia. I spent some time there and happened to be on the coast right around sunset. I took a few photos and already knew then that I wanted to paint this scene. Two weeks later, I finally did.

I think this experiment turned out pretty well. What I like most about this painting are the colors. They seem to almost glow thanks to the contrast between the orange and dark blue.
