"Casa Nativa" which translates from Spanish as "native home," is a large installation entirely crafted from cardboard found at a dumpster. This installation served as my main piece at the "Packing Light" exhibition held at Reb/el Cabañal in Valencia in 2022-2023, where it remained as part of the permanent collection.
This still life is executed in my signature style. However, when working on the sketch, I decided to go beyond simply painting a picture and created a massive installation. This still life depicts the domestic life of a Ukrainian home. I spent three weeks working on this installation, and the result left me amazed.
