I captured the reference for this painting while walking one summer evening near the Campanar district in Valencia. The title of the piece, 'Hora Dorada,' translates from Spanish as 'Golden Hour.' At the center of the composition is a contrasting sunset, embodying the natural state referred to in the painting’s title—the 'golden hour.' Through the use of opposing colors, I was able to convey the sun’s signature golden glow.
