I painted this piece using a reference that wasn’t mine, but I was inspired by my recent trip to Alicante. Unusually for me, I decided to paint a sunrise. This composition is different from my usual work because, in the region where I live, the sun sets over the mountains and rises from the sea. It was an interesting experiment, though I can’t say I’m thrilled with the result. But after a four-week break, it’s not a bad outcome!
